How our practice covers the chapters

Our questions are our own. We do not copy UHR's text. But we follow the same topics, so that you practise the right things:

  • The country of Sweden: geography, population, languages and natural resources.
  • Democracy and how Sweden is governed: the Riksdag, the government, municipalities, regions and the constitution.
  • Elections and parties: the right to vote, election day, the threshold and referendums.
  • Law and justice: courts, the police, children's rights and emergency numbers.
  • Rights and the media: freedom of expression, freedom of religion, the principle of public access and source criticism.
  • Work and personal finances: collective agreements, unions, tax, unemployment insurance and holiday.
  • The welfare society: school, health care, the Social Insurance Agency, pensions and SFI.
  • Sweden's modern history: Finland 1809, the right to vote in 1921, neutrality, the "people's home" and the EU in 1995.
  • Sweden and the world: the EU, the Nordic countries, the UN and NATO.
  • Religion, traditions and holidays: the secular state, freedom of religion, Midsummer, Lucia and the right of public access.

Examples of what UHR asks about

UHR's website shows five sample questions. They are about the main task of the public sector, Sweden's head of state, an important natural resource, which country was part of Sweden until 1809, and how freedom of expression works. The questions are concrete and about basic facts, not opinions.
